Season 2 Reloaded is another big update for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but with the confirmed buffs and new weapons being introduced, it’s set to introduce the most frustrating meta yet.
Call of Duty always tries to keep things fresh with every major update, and the Black Ops 6 era has been no different. Each seasonal patch adds a bunch of content to multiplayer and Warzone, from new weapons and skins to special events, usually with a theme linking them together.

But when you look at the new arms up for grabs, as well as buffs given to existing weapons, it’s hard not to worry.
As part of the TMNT collab, every brother’s iconic blade is being added. That means that Leonardo’s Katanas, Donatello’s Bo Staff, Michaelangelo’s Nunchaku, and Raphael’s Sai are all available, either as a standard Armory unlock or a purchase if you want the turtle-accurate version.

As shared in the Season 2 Reloaded patch notes, both the Knife and Baseball have had their lunge distances buffed by 4% and 6% respectively. Meanwhile, the Power Drill has received a huge 47% increase in the same stat, meaning all three can land hits from further away than before.

Particularly in multiplayer, where the maps are smaller and it’s easier to get close behind enemies, melee weapons are already powerful. They offer faster movement and are perfect for securing a quick kill in a single blow, while those using traditional Assault Rifles or SMGs will have to hit multiple shots.

So, with this sudden influx of blades, as well as buffs to make them more powerful, those who already dislike the playstyle are in for a miserable time.
Maps like Stakeout and Nuketown, which already favor melee players, could become completely overrun, as teams are forced into close-quarters fights where there’s much less time to fire off a shot.
